Police caught two goats and tied them in the police station at Hujurabad in Karimnagar in Telangana. It is alleged that the goats ate up to 250 almond plants planted under the Telangana government's green campaign 'Haritah Haram'.
Police said that an NGO named 'Save the Trees' had planted 980 wild almond plants in the vicinity. But these goats ate 250 plants. A complaint was filed several times by NGO activist Kayasa Vikranta regarding this. This action was taken after this. However, he was released after imposing a fine of one thousand rupees on the Dorankonda king, the owner of the goats.
