Pervez Musharraf: Every leader of Pakistan these days has been singing the Kashmir ragas. This is the reason why former Pakistan dictator Pervez Musharraf has also resorted to returning to active politics after a long time. He said that Kashmir is in the blood of Pakistan and whatever happens, the country will stand with the Kashmiri people with the army. General (Senator) Musharraf living in Dubai, referring to the Kargil War, alleged that India was repeatedly threatening him despite Pakistan's peace efforts.
The 76-year-old president of the All Pakistan Muslim League addressed the party workers in Islamabad via telephone from Dubai on the party's foundation day on Sunday, saying, "Perhaps, the Indian Army has forgotten the battle of Kargil." The former dictator claimed that India had to seek help from the US President to end the Kargil war in 1999.
Due to his deteriorating health, the former president had abstained from political activities last year. He said that Kashmir is in the blood of Pakistan. Musharraf's statement comes for the first time after the withdrawal of special state status from Kashmir. He said, 'Whatever be the case, we will stand with our Kashmiri brothers. Pakistanis and the army will continue to struggle until the last strand of their blood. '
Musharraf said that Pakistan's desire for peace should not be deemed its weakness as the Pakistan Armed Forces are ready to respond to any daring of India. On the Kashmir issue, India has many times explained to its neighbor that this is its internal matter and Pakistan should stop accepting the anti-India propaganda and Kashmir rant while accepting the truth.
