'Sachin Tendulkar and Viswanathan Anand removed for not attending meetings'
Now the number of members in the committee has also been reduced to 18 instead of 27. Apart from Sachin and Anand, badminton coach Pullela Gopichand and former football captain Baichung Bhutia have also been dropped. According to sources, this decision was taken due to Sachin and Anand not reaching the committee meetings.
Gopichand is also out of the committee
His busyness is being cited as the reason behind the removal of Gopichand from the committee. It is being said that Gopichand is busy with preparations for the Tokyo Olympics, due to which he has not been included in the committee.
