Budget 2020: Second budget of the second term of the Modi government. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reached Parliament at 10 am. He was accompanied by Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur.
At 11 pm Nirmala Sitharaman started reading her budget speech. He counted the achievements of his government, thanked the Prime Minister and started to present the plans for the Union Budget 2020.
Before that, he recited a poem in the Kashmiri language. The name of the poet is Dinanath Kaul Nadeem. After reciting Kashmiri poetry, he also narrated his Hindi version,
"Our country is like a blooming Shalimar Bagh.
Our country is like a lotus blooming in Dal Lake,
Is like hot blood of youth,
My country is your country, our country,
The world's sweetest country is "

Dinanath Kaul Nadeem was born in March 1916. He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award for his contribution to Kashmiri literature. He died in April 1988.
