Delhi violence case: The High Court heard the violence in several areas of Delhi's North-East district over the Citizenship Amendment Act. During the hearing, the court played a video clip of BJP leader Kapil Mishra in the courtroom. During this the Solicitor General, DCP Dev, and all the lawyers were present.
The High Court asked Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, DCP (Crime) whether he had seen a video clip of BJP leader Kapil Mishra's alleged hate speech. The clip was later played in a courtroom. At the same time, the High Court asked the Solicitor General to ask the Commissioner of Police to register an FIR in the case of three BJP leaders allegedly making hate speeches.
During the hearing in the North East Delhi violence case, there was a heated debate in the Delhi High Court between the Solicitor General and the Delhi Government advocate on the issue of representing the Commissioner of Police. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta requested the High Court to hear the matter on Thursday, saying that the petition could be heard tomorrow.
Also, the Solicitor General, in a petition seeking registration of FIR, appealed to the court to make the Union of India parties and said that the issue was related to law and order.
Explain that a petition was filed in the Delhi High Court regarding the Delhi violence, in which the SIT has been sought. So far 20 people have died in the North East Delhi violence case and more than 250 people have been injured.
